EchoVault Terms of Service

Effective date: August 5, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EchoVault mobile application ("the App"), published by Guogang Zhao, trading as xApp Factory ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms of Service. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or redistribute the App except to the extent required by applicable law.

2. EchoVault Pro (one-time purchase)

EchoVault Pro is a one-time, non-consumable, non-subscription in-app purchase

that unlocks: unlimited AI meeting minutes, speaker separation, Ask AI and full-library semantic search.

Free tier limits (currently: 5 AI minutes per month; speaker separation locked;

semantic search limited to the 3 most recent recordings) are stated in the App.

Purchases are processed by Apple. Restoring a purchase is available at any time via

"Restore Purchase". Refunds are handled by Apple per App Store refund policies.

Pro entitlements are tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device signed

in with the same Apple ID.

3. On-device processing

All recording, transcription and AI features run locally on your device. The App requires internet access only to download AI models (optional, initiated by you) and to process App Store purchases. We provide no cloud service and assume no responsibility for device-level data loss; use the optional iCloud Backup feature to protect your data.

4. Acceptable use

You are responsible for complying with local laws when recording conversations, including any consent requirements that apply in your jurisdiction. The App is a tool; how you use recorded content is your responsibility.

5. AI-generated output

Meeting minutes, summaries and AI answers are generated automatically on-device and are provided for convenience. They may contain errors. Verify important information before relying on it. AI output does not constitute professional, legal or medical advice.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT TRANSCRIPTIONS OR AI OUTPUT WILL BE ERROR-FREE.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP OR ITS IN-APP PURCHASES. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST DATA OR LOST PROFITS.

8. Termination and changes

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced with a new App version. If you do not accept updated Terms, stop using the App and uninstall it.

9. Governing law and your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms requires you to give up those rights. Your purchase of the App or of EchoVault Pro is additionally governed by the Apple Media Services Terms of Service, under which Apple processes the transaction and handles refunds.
